Sleeping Beauty turquoise comes from the legendary Sleeping Beauty Mine near Globe, Arizona, one of the most famous turquoise mines in the world. Known for its bright robin’s-egg blue color and minimal matrix, Sleeping Beauty turquoise has long been prized in Southwestern and Native American jewelry. Since the mine closed in 2012, genuine Sleeping Beauty turquoise has become increasingly collectible.
The vivid blue stones in this buckle are old stock, meaning they were cut from material mined years ago and carefully saved until the right design came along.
Set into a bold horseshoe-style buckle, the turquoise stands out beautifully against the darkened steel base. Each stone was hand set at the bench, creating a one-of-a-kind Western statement piece that’s built to be worn for years to come.
